Top All-Natural Skin Care Products
Pura Vida and hello everyone, I hope you are all staying healthy and safe! During times of uncertainly, sometimes it’s good to shift focus to something that relieves stress and helps carry out the Pure Life Podcast motto; take a break from your busy life and pamper yourself! And lately my pampering focus has been on skin care products with an emphasis on combination skin types and anti-aging products. Here are some personal favorites along with some cool new finds.
The opinions expressed below are all mine and not endorsed by any product or company. Many of the products chosen and trialed below tend to be all-natural if possible, free from chemicals, parabens, silicones, fragrances, dyes, etc. . . I think you know where I’m going with this.
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
A longtime favorite of mine, this cleansing oil gets rid of any makeup including stubborn waterproof mascaras! It’s inexpensive and so effective. This product is simply genius. Simply apply it on dry skin, massage it in then rinse it off with water. It is described as a cleansing “oil” so that may make you wonder but it’s not greasy at all! It leaves your skin clean and nourished. It’s also a product I use after long beach vacations for soothing cleansing after long sun exposure / sun-irritation or other skin issues.
SK-II Facial Treatment Essence
This is another award-winning “miracle” skincare product. I’ve been using this product for years and I’ve been very happy with the results. This “miracle water” will make your skin so soft and enhances your skins radiance for sure!
CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser
With the current pause in travel, there’s never been a more perfect time to do some much-needed research on skin care. With such a dizzying array of products to choose from, it’s hard to know what just works and what is all hype. One brand I have recently discovered that works is CeraVe. Developed by dermatologists, CeraVe focuses on reinforcing “ceramides” that form a natural barrier on the skin to retain moisture. Not only does this product work well, my son is also now “borrowing” my facial cleanser because he feels it’s doing a great job on his face too! It’s inexpensive and just works, what more could you ask for?
Drunk Elephant
I ‘ve always made it a point to seek out cosmetics and skin care products that are made from natural ingredients rather than full of unknown chemicals or synthetics. When I happened upon Drunk Elephant, I was excited to learn that they produce all-natural skincare products, focusing on eliminating the “Suspicious 6” elements: (essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical sunscreens, fragrances/dyes, SLS).
The Littles 4.0
This amazing starter kit comes with 8 littles to get your skin re-set. It also comes with 4 cards that show you how to mix the products to make the perfect “smoothy” for your skin needs. What’s more it comes with a cute travel case and the kit is supposed to last 30-45 days. These products work very well together and deliver great results.
T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial
If you are like me, you are way overdue for a good facial. But with no place to go, what can you do? Well, my go to for a “home facial” is this T.L.C. product! The Sukari Babyfacial improves skin texture and tone and gives a youthful radiance to your skin. It includes “pro-quality AHA/BHA” to stimulate even the most stubborn skin to a shimmering radiance.
Slaai Make-up Melting Butter Cleanser
This product is in close contention as my absolute favorite, right up there with the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. It comes in a solid form instead of liquid and is great for traveling. This cleaning balm contains antioxidant-rich fruit extracts and oils to wash away stubborn make up, dirt and sunscreen. The product contains an African oil blend of marula, baobob, kalahari melon, mongongo and ximenia that will leave your skin super nourished and silky smooth. It is designed to be used on dry skin with dry hands for effectively removing impurities.
