We’ve traveled extensively with our three children across the United States, Japan, Europe, Hawaii, the Caribbean and beyond, and we’ve encountered the same problem again and again: enter two adults and three children into a hotel search and suddenly rooms that looked available disappear.

The good news is that families of five don’t always need to book two rooms.
